Downtown Inglewood and Fairview Heights Transit-Oriented Development Plan
The Plan
The Arroyo Group’s TOD Plan for the Downtown Inglewood and Fairview Heights Metro stations is helping stimulate the revitalization of Downtown Inglewood, the local counterpart to the glitz and glam of Inglewood’s new stadium district. Over 1,000 residential units have been entitled or constructed since the plan was unanimously adopted by the City Council after a 19-month planning process, including a 101-unit affordable housing development opened in 2022 at the Fairview Heights Station. Future improvements anticipated in the plan include new public spaces connecting to the Metro station, an employment district called TechTown and a rapid transit connector to the stadium district. The plan was developed with an extensive program of community participation including stakeholder interviews, a stakeholder’s advisory committee appointed by the mayor, community workshops held at Inglewood’s two largest churches, surveys and youth outreach at Inglewood High School.
