Westchester/Veterans TOD Plan

The Westchester/Veterans Station Area TOD Plan was shaped by the completion of the Metro K Line, LAX Automated People Mover and centralized car rental facility creating the opportunity for transit-oriented development in an area mostly dedicated to industrial uses and parking lots for rental cars. As a result, approximately 300 residential units are now under construction.

Under the Plan, the area closest to the transit station will be anchored by a mini-arts district which will serve existing and new artists, new mixed use and multifamily residential, and a new neighborhood shopping center. The southwest portion of the TOD area is proposed as an Office Campus next to the 96th Street Metro Station and LAX People Mover.

The remainder of the area remains industrial, with new open spaces also integrated. Improved connections across the 405 Freeway make the K Line station more accessible by pedestrians and bicyclists.
